JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Lead Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the planning and execution of department tasks and understanding all warehouse shipping/receiving functions as they relate to finished goods and supplies. The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and provides daily direction to the warehouse employees. This position requires strong communication with all departments within the entire supply chain to maintain efficient and productive shipping and receiving operations. Direct all general warehouse duties in a manner that supports the achievement of the company’s vision, mission and values.
Essential Functions
- Understand and enforce VQ’s expectations as they relate to Safety, Quality, Service, Value and Teamwork.
- Represent the warehouse team as needed in interdepartmental communications.
- Develop, maintain and enforce methods to properly ship and receive goods.
- Manage inventory locations within the warehouse, including proper labeling/scanning to ensure accurate accounting.
- Monitor and advise management on inventory levels.
- Work with Lead Warehouse Supervisor to develop and maintain a plant resupply system and plant finished goods shipping system to reduce labor costs and eliminate product damage. (10)
- Ensure proper and adequate staffing to meet department needs.
- Manage communications with warehouse staff and all departments to ensure a safe continuous product flow and proper maintenance of equipment.
- Perform monthly inventory of assigned supplies or goods, and ordering/replenishment of assigned supplies. (10)
- Develop, maintain and enforce operator POMs.
- Manage and train on general shipping office duties including driver check in, paperwork, preparation for outbound loads and processing and submission of completed paperwork.
- Knowledge of all loading and unloading associated recording requirements.
- Prioritize, respond and troubleshoot all daily warehouse related issues in a timely manner to maintain regimented shipping/receiving schedules.
- Train, evaluate and certify all plant employees on forklift use.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Prepare Scheduling for all warehouse employees (10)

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the warehouse department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature variation, chemical transportation, forklift operation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The night shift position works a 5-2-2-5 schedule with alternating weekends.
Travel
Minimal travel is required.
Required Education, Experience and Certifications
High school diploma or GED is required for this position. Maintain certified forklift operator status. Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Preferred Education, Experience and Certifications
Associate degree or equivalent from college or technical school. Desire two or more years in a warehouse facility. Experience with RF scanning and an understanding of general warehouse layout, dock locations, and shipping/receiving functions in a supervisory capacity is preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
