Job Overview:
About the Role:
The Night Shift Team Lead primary objective is to operate the bulk and bag systems to properly inspect and label bulk feed products. You are also responsible for maintaining accurate daily records regarding bag ingredient and bulk production, material/equipment deliveries, and bulk/bag feed production, inventory, and loading. It is important that you maintain a clean and organized work area for the purpose of safety, efficiency, and appearance.
- You develop and provide ongoing training of current team members
- You inspect and monitor feed quality, weight, and packaging
- You perform other feed production related functions or duties as needed
- You are responsible for several direct reports
- You provide timely feedback to upper management
- You assist with process improvements
- You track performance and production metrics
Who You Are:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consecutive basis required
- Previous forklift experience required
- Must be available for any shift, over-time and weekends
- Ideal candidate will have 3 years manufacturing experience
- At least 2 years management experience
- Production manufacturing or agriculture (livestock/grain feed) industry experience preferred
