Summary
Directly supervises night shift team members in the plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing issues and resolving problems.
PAY:
$68/yr- $78k/yr
*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, education/training, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities
Tasks & Duties:
- Works with employees to maintain a safe work environment. Encourages and leads team members to work in a safe manner and to seek improvement in work practices for their benefit.
- Team collaboration within the organization to execute action plans
- Coaching team members during the shift and documenting those conversations
- Assures that the team maintains quality standards and uses appropriate techniques for problem resolution through knowledge of product specifications and training of staff.
- Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards, and is directly accountable for ensuring the teams are following established processes
- Facilitate the onboarding of new team members onto shifts
- Strives to be technically proficient on the machinery in the department.
- Works with Department Managers to address and develop skillsets of team members
- Aids the team in problem resolution and assures that testing and product development is carried out in a professional manner.
- Report any potentially unsafe conditions or customer complaints and/or correct the situation.
- Compile KPI data and populate end of shift report. Distribute to manager and appropriate operations and support personnel.
- Team collaboration within the organization to execute action plans
- Supporting the plant initiatives for Safety, Quality and Operational Excellence

Requirements
What you will need to succeed:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- The Shift Supervisor must be a leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equipment-direct experience in the folding carton industry is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant preferred.
- Production experience is required, and continued education is considered a plus. Must be quality conscious and customer oriented.
