Lighting Assembler

Job Summary

The Lighting Assembler is responsible for assembling and fabricating lighting components and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to company specifications. This role supports the production process by ensuring products are assembled accurately, meet quality standards, and are completed safely and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and written instructions to accurately assemble products.
  • Operate hand and power tools, including screw guns and drill guns.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of materials at assigned workstations.
  • Perform quality inspections and measurements using tape measures, rulers, and other measuring devices to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete required documentation when defects are found.
  • Rework and repair assembled products as needed based on engineering specifications and design changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with company quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Cut plastic, metal, and wood materials using saws and other equipment.
  • Drill holes, solder components, file materials, and package finished lighting products.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with other production-related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet production goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Technical, vocational, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and move materials weighing 10 to 30 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required.
  • Perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently bend, reach, and use hand and power tools.
  • Possess the visual ability to perform close and distance work, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral vision and depth perception, and adjust focus as needed.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing and production environment where safety procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are required.
