About the Internship:

As a Newsroom Intern, you’ll gain valuable behind-the-scenes exposure to the daily operations of a broadcast newsroom. This internship is designed to give students practical experience while working alongside experienced journalists, producers, and assignment editors.

Responsibilities:

Assist reporters, producers, and digital teams in story research and development
Help with logging interviews, organizing scripts, and gathering visual elements
Attend editorial meetings and contribute to story ideas
Shadow field crews on shoots and live reports (as available)
Support the digital news team with web and social media content
Learn industry-standard tools and newsroom software

Qualifications:

Current enrollment in a college or university program (Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related field preferred)
Strong interest in television news and storytelling
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to take initiative and work in a deadline-driven environment
Availability to intern 10–15 hours per week
