Network Administrator

NOV Digital Services is a division within NOV that specializes in providing instrumentation, visualizations, and data aggregation to remote sites around the world. Ensuring we have robust and secure connections between local and remote devices is critical to our business model.

 Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Support hardware and software applications that safely exchange data between remote sites, data centers, and cloud hosts.
• Regularly create, review, and revise internal technical documentation.
• Administer and update LTE and firewall central management systems
• Manage repositories for software and configuration files associated to our products.
• Maintain standardized deployment and maintenance processes for our Operations and Customer Support personnel to execute.
• Work closely with Engineering, Product Line, and Operations to ensure compliance with network & security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal operations and distribution teams to ensure proper operation, licensing, configuration, and management of network devices
• Develop and Deliver training documentation to support personnel.
• Provide 2nd tier support during off hours if necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Experience with multi-location networks
• 3+ years of experience in commissioning and supporting VSAT/LTE/Wi-Fi installations
• Competent with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
• 2+ years of experience with routing, creating firewall rules, and applying security policies
• 2+ years of experience with centrally managed networks
• Good interpersonal skills

Preferred Skillsets:

• Experience with Linux, Docker, and other IoT focused applications
• CompTIA & NSE certifications preferred
• Familiarity with Modbus, OPC-UA, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Experience configuring & deploying mesh wireless nodes
• Experience with Fortinet products and systems (Fortigate firewalls, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer)
• Good interpersonal skills
