Do you have experience doing quality inspections on metals? Howmet Aerospace is now seeking to fill positions for NDT Quality Inspectors on **2nd Shift **(3:00pm - 11:30pm)!

*Training for this role will take place on 1st Shift for 2-4 months.

Essential Functions

• Perform inspection operations including receiving, final, and all in-process inspections on all part types along with daily calibration checks.

• Process material through pre-clean operations, through FPI line, and perform process checks. This may include processing parts through powerwash, ultrasonic clean, FPI line and pre-etch.

• Perform inspections of high visual concentration for a period of 2 hours continuously.

• Follow operational sheets and maintaining all quality records.

• Gage, set-up and run airflow, waterflow and moment weigh.

• Pack, unpack and load material, review and replace totes and liners if necessary.

• Final inspection of parts to OP sketch requirements.

• Perform 6S audits and other area requirements.

• Input serial list numbers into heat treat data base.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 1 year of manufacturing inspection. FPI experience *preferred *but not required.
• Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices.
• Basic skills and knowledge using adjustable measuring instruments for checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
