**The Role

**

This is a fully travel-based position supporting critical manufacturing operations through extended, on-site deployments across the United States. Candidates must be open and willing to travel nationwide and remain on assignment for the duration of the client’s needs.

**The Opportunity

**

We are seeking highly skilled Die Repairmen for nationwide traveling assignments.

  • Pay: $45-$47/HR
  • Per Diem: $125–$180/day (location-dependent, tax-free)
  • Project Length: Open-ended (typically 6+ months)
  • Travel Experience: Preferred, not required
  • Commitment: Ability to remain on-site as long as the client requires support

**Required Experience

**

You must have 5+ years of recent, verifiable experience with the following:

  • Repair of dies used in stamping, presses, roto-molding, or other applications using TIG/MIG welding and blending
  • Experience “spotting in” dies after repair to verify quality
  • Proficiency in the use of standard shop tools to fabricate or repair components and accessories
  • Superior attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality

**Technical Expectations

**

You are expected to work independently and with minimal direction:

  • Identify damaged areas and repair dies by TIG and MIG welding, followed by grinding, sanding, blending, and polishing
  • Set up dies and prove out repairs by “spotting in” and making necessary adjustments
  • Fabricate components for stamping and molding departments as needed (chutes, trays, racks, clamps, etc.) from steel or aluminum
  • Possess basic manual mill, lathe, and drill press skills

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of shop personnel
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and urgent production demands
  • Maintain strong attendance and consistent performance
  • Willingness to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and overtime

**What We Provide

  • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.725/mile to the job site (paid on first paycheck)
