Job Overview:

**Job Summary

**

We are seeking a skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join our plant manufacturing team. You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed production machinery and facility support systems. Success in this role means minimizing downtime through expert electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, with a core focus on PLC logic, VFD configurations, and industrial hydraulic systems.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • **Automation & Controls:

    ** Troubleshoot, diagnose, and modify PLC-controlled equipment, inputs/outputs, and ladder logic.

  • **Drives & Electrical:

    ** Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and 3-phase electrical systems up to 480V.

  • **Hydraulics & Pneumatics:

    ** Inspect, rebuild, and troubleshoot industrial hydraulic power units, cylinders, proportional valves, and pneumatic circuits.

  • **Mechanical & Millwright:

    ** Align pumps and motors, replace bearings, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, and seals.

  • **Preventive Maintenance:

    ** Execute routine PM schedules, document work orders accurately, and log equipment health data.

  • **Safety Compliance:

    ** Adhere strictly to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), OSHA standards, and general plant safety rules.

  • **Documentation:

    ** Log all maintenance actions and parts used in the CMMS.

**Qualifications & Requirements

**

  • **Experience:

    ** Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience inside a manufacturing or production environment.

  • **PLC Skills:

    ** Ability to read ladder logic and use software to troubleshoot.

  • **VFD Skills:

    ** Experience parameterizing, installing, and diagnosing AC/DC drives.

  • **Electrical Safety:

    ** Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E.

  • **Education:

    ** High school diploma required, technical degree or certification preferred.

  • **Technical Knowledge:

    ** Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic flow charts, and mechanical blueprints.

  • **Core Skills:

    ** Demonstrated competency with digital multimeters, calibrators, hand tools, and diagnostic software for drives and PLCs.

**Physical & Shift Requirements

**

  • **Lifting:

    ** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • **Mobility:

    ** Able to climb ladders, work at heights and stand for long periods.

  • **Schedule:

    **Shift flexibility required, including overtime, weekends, nights and on-call. Plant operates 24/7.
