Job Overview:

Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. is seeking dedicated, reliable, and adaptable individuals to join our production floor as Multi-Skilled Operators

. In this role, you will play a vital part in manufacturing precision filtration and aerospace components

.

We hire employees in as Multi-Skilled Operators with the unique option to move within the company to find the job that best fits your strengths and interests

. Additionally, our operators assist other departments as workloads change, providing a dynamic, cross-functional work environment where you can continuously learn and grow

.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brazing & Assembly: Perform torch and induction brazing to join wire mesh, fittings, and dissimilar metals

    . Read braze schedules, set up jobs, and participate in a structured brazing qualification program

    .

  • Press & Forming Operations: Operate mechanical or hydraulic presses, kick presses, and other metal-forming machinery to cut, punch, form, or crimp parts according to production requirements

    .

  • Quality & Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical inspections using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure components meet strict customer standards

    .

  • Cross-Department Support: Support production needs across multiple areas—including brazing, press operations, and assembly—and assist other departments as workflow demands shift

    .

  • General Production: Maintain a clean work area, follow all safety protocols around hot tools and moving machinery, and support continuous improvement initiatives

    .

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Attendance & Reliability: Demonstrated ability and willingness to show up to work on time and maintain a strong, consistent attendance record.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

    .

  • Experience: Prior manufacturing experience—specifically in brazing, welding, metal assembly, or operating press/forming equipment—is preferred but not required, we'll train you

    . Technical training or certifications are a plus

    .

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination

    . Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints, work instructions, and braze schedules

    .

  • Math & Problem Solving: Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratios, and percentages) and the ability to troubleshoot process or equipment issues

    .

  • Vision & Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 10 hours) and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

      .

    • Must be able to pass an initial and annual eye exam (including a color vision test) to meet close, color, and peripheral vision standards required for precision inspection

      .

    • Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and respirators

      .
