Job Overview:

TOPS Staffing is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Penn Hills / Plum area to hire an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for its 2nd shift operations.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturer seeking a technician who can work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems in a production environment.

While this is a true multi-craft maintenance role, the facility's equipment makes this position slightly heavier on the electrical side.

Schedule & Pay

Shift: 2nd Shift

Start Time: Flexible between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM

Hours: Typically 8-9 hour shifts

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours Worked: Generally 45-50 hours per week

Pay: $26.00-$33.00/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities
  • Diagnose production equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Install, remove, and rebuild machinery and equipment
  • Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Complete maintenance work orders and documentation
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
  • Respond to production downtime issues and restore equipment operation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience performing both electrical and mechanical repairs in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently with limited supervision
  • Experience working with motors, controls, sensors, conveyors, and automated equipment
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical degree or maintenance certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the shift
  • Ability to work around operating production equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
