As a crucial part of our team, you'll be hands-on in the maintenance process, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing machines and equipment throughout the mill. What we need from you:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain mill piping and related pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, including but not limited to gauges, valves, pressure regulators. 
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PMs) on all mill machinery and equipment. 
  • Clean, lubricate, and repair bearings (roller, spherical, and taper bore), gears, shafts, and other machinery components.
  • Safely and efficiently operate maintenance tools including lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machines to repair and fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, etc.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and ability to maintain and troubleshoot electronics, including but not limited to drives and PLCs.
  • Rigging of rolls and equipment
  • Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and plasma cutters; ability to MIG, TIG, and Stick weld.
  • Ability to fabricate parts or components from blueprints or drawings, or verbal concepts. 
  • Knowledge of pump from chemical metering to large centrifugal pumps
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by management.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of multi-skill (millwright/mechanic) experience with an emphasis in paper mill maintenance, desirable but not necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. 
  • Willingness and ability to work 8 hours shifts Monday-Friday, be on a 24 hour on-call rotation, rotating weekends, and overtime as needed. 
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and lift up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Physical demands include standing for long periods of time, walking, using hands and arms to handle, feel or reach, climb, squat, bend, balance, stoop, knee, crouch, and/or crawl in confined spaces.
  • All candidates must pass pre-employment screening, drug screen, physical and criminal background screening.
