Maintenance MRO Buyer

Wauwatosa, WI

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing client in the Wauwatosa area for a Maintenance MRO Buyer. This role is responsible for purchasing, inventory control, and distribution of maintenance parts, tools, and equipment that support daily plant operations. The ideal candidate will help ensure maintenance teams have the materials they need to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production interruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, issue, and maintain inventory of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
• Manage tool crib operations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and inventory software.
• Receive and verify incoming shipments, properly label and store inventory items.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Issue parts to maintenance personnel based on work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate repair and return of equipment and components with vendors and purchasing teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool crib environment.
• Assist with additional inventory, maintenance, and purchasing-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, inventory control, MRO, purchasing, or a related industrial environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with inventory management or maintenance software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills with maintenance personnel, vendors, and internal departments.
• Basic math and English proficiency required.
