WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Mud Motor Technician III will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of mud motors used in drilling operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mud motors. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  •  Independently and accurately assemble bearing sections and complete motors 
  •  Expertly recognize all power section models 
  •  Possess the capability to initiate and conclude assigned tasks promptly 
  •  Exhibit adept problem-solving skills in work situations to enhance safety and efficiency 
  •  Skillfully handle assembly and disassembly service reports 
  •  Ensure accurate Quality Control (QC) for disassembled motors 
  •  Precisely measure all power sections 
  •  Collaborate effectively in assembling bearing sections and completing motors under supervision 
  •  Proficiently navigate shipping and receiving procedures 
  •  Display comprehensive understanding of the rework process 
  •  Possess a broad knowledge base in Microsoft programs 
  •  Demonstrate proficiency in Dynamics and BiMiner

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  •  Min. 2 year experience with drilling tools is required
  •  Forklift certified, preferred
  •  Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment
  •  Ability to comprehend production requirements
  •  Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  •  Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and components, up to 25 pounds 
  •  Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, copier/printer/scanner
  •  Stand for long periods of time, between 8-12 hours a day 
  •  Walk/travel to production areas while wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), which at a minimum includes safety glasses, steel toe shoes/boots and a hardhat

This position involves direct or indirect responsibility for the safety of others, it requires strict adherence to Company’s safety policies and procedures including the Drug and Alcohol policy.
