Associate Motor Repair Technician to join our Motor Repair team. In this hands-on technical role, you will be responsible for remanufacturing motors to original factory specifications while ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will learn FANUC products, develop troubleshooting skills, and work alongside experienced technicians in a collaborative repair environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Test and analyze motors to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Remanufacture motors to original specifications and quality standards.
- Learn FANUC products, repair processes, and technical analysis procedures.
- Participate actively in on-the-job training with supervisors and senior technicians.
- Maintain testing and repair equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Complete repair estimates, remanufacturing documentation, and required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Assist with annual physical inventory activities.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Motor Repair Department team.
- Work overtime as needed to support business requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of trade school education or equivalent related experience preferred.
Experience
- Six months to one year of experience in a machine shop environment with hands-on experience repairing mechanical or electrical equipment.
- One year of electrical motor repair experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of mechanical systems, including:- Hand tools and their uses
- Rotating machinery theory
- Vibration analysis
Knowledge of electrical theory, including:- Electric motors
- Generator theory
- Semiconductors
Ability to operate a lathe as required.
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Equipment Experience
Experience using or learning to use the following equipment is preferred:
- Controls, drives, and power supplies
- Hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Cleaning equipment and testing meters
- Overhead crane
- Remay Demag machine
- Saws, drills, pumps, and vacuums
- Oscilloscope
- Bearing press
- Dial indicator
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs or ladders, and perform physical tasks using coordinated body movements.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, machinery, and computer equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move parts weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and repair environment.
Work Environment
- Factory environment with variable temperatures.
- Exposure to dirt, grease, and solvents used for cleaning motors and components.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including:- Steel-toed safety shoes
- Safety glasses as required
- Hearing protection as needed
- Weight belt when necessary
