Description
Position Summary: Motor Controller Business Leader is responsible for the commercialization and growth of Barber-Nichols existing Motor Controller product portfolio at production scale. This role leads market intelligence, go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, internal production strategy and revenue growth. The Business Leader translates advanced motor control technology into scalable commercial success by defining addressable markets, securing strategic customers, and building a sustainable, profitable growth engine aligned with Graham Corporation’s long-term strategy.
Key Results Areas:
1. Develop multi-year motor controller commercialization strategy to yield production scale.
2. Acquire and institutionalize market intelligence to inform strategic direction.
3. Develop and execute Go-To-Market strategy to win scalable production programs.
4. Drive organizational integration & scalable execution with the right pace.
5. Create and maintain a strong relationship with all stakeholders including customers, employees, suppliers, Board of Directors.
6. Identify and grow the key positions, critical skills and future candidates to enable long-term sustainable growth.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering or business discipline.
Experience:
· Ten years’ experience in engineered products, motor controls, power electronics, or adjacent technologies.
· Demonstrated success commercializing complex technical products.
· Experience defining and executing go-to-market strategies.
· Experience operating at or near General Manager or P&L leadership level preferred.
· Exposure to aerospace, defense, energy, or industrial markets preferred experience in a variety of roles such as engineering, manufacturing, and accounting.
Other:
· Must be willing to work overtime as required
· Travel up to 30% of working time.
Desired Job Qualification:
· Experience in an aerospace and manufacturing environment desired.
