Job Description

As a Quality Control Auditor, your strong attention to detail will allow you to conduct quality control reviews of residential loan production files including closed loan audits, FHA/VA audits and investor repurchases.

This position is based on-site in our NVR mortgage offices.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive reviews of mortgage loan files in accordance with the Quality Control program and accepted agency standards; including Closed Loan, Discretionary, Prefunding, Early Payment Default, and Fair Lending reviews
• Re-underwrite loans to validate borrower eligibility, income, assets, credit, and collateral documentation
• Ensure compliance with agency guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA), investor requirements, and internal policies
• Perform reverifications (employment, income, assets) as part of QC audits
• Review identified loans for possible fraudulent activity
• Review investor/agency repurchase requests and prepare the necessary response for mitigation

• Provide response and guidance to compliance related inquiries from operations staff

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working in audit or with a financial institution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or related fielded preferred or comparable work experience
