Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, assemble, repair, and maintain plastic injection molds.
- Read tooling drawings and troubleshoot mold issues.
- Operate tool room equipment, including surface grinders, Bridgeport mills, and lathes.
- Perform mold cleaning, polishing, fitting, and bench work.
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
- Minimize production downtime and support process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and update maintenance records (CMMS/SAP).
- Work independently and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in plastic injection mold repair or maintenance (5+ years preferred).
- Ability to read tooling drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of mold components, hot runner systems (Mold-Masters, Synventive), and tool room equipment.
- Strong communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.
- Toolmaking certification and CMMS/SAP experience are an asset.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
