Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, assemble, repair, and maintain plastic injection molds.
• Read tooling drawings and troubleshoot mold issues.
• Operate tool room equipment, including surface grinders, Bridgeport mills, and lathes.
• Perform mold cleaning, polishing, fitting, and bench work.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
• Minimize production downtime and support process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and update maintenance records (CMMS/SAP).
• Work independently and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in plastic injection mold repair or maintenance (5+ years preferred).
• Ability to read tooling drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of mold components, hot runner systems (Mold-Masters, Synventive), and tool room equipment.
• Strong communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.
• Toolmaking certification and CMMS/SAP experience are an asset.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
