Job Description

Molding/Process Technician - $30 to $40/hour

We are searching for a Molding/Process Technician to work in the city of Long Beach, CA.

Key responsibilities:

• Start up and troubleshoots assigned machines, and updates Setup Worksheets, and purge material in a timely manner prior to the beginning of next job

• Verify that the correct mold has been setup per the Setup Checklist and the Bill of Materials, and ensure all scrape is segregated, counted, and recorded as directed

• Understand and follow the Bill of Materials regarding materials and auxiliary equipment as shown in the work instruction document

• Assist in setup of robots and startup of interface between robot and machine as directed as well as assist in setting up all support and auxiliary equipment needed for the job

• Check work order to ensure correct material is staged at machine in timely manner and log any changes throughout the entire run for every job on the Process Change Log

• Troubleshoot problems and assist in performing repairs when machines develop problems, preferably, while processes continue to run as well as report unsafe conditions to shift supervisor for immediate action

• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the machines and work area within the cell and of the entire production department

• Perform other tasks as needed or required

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as Molding or Process Technician
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Knowledgeable of scientific molding principles
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular, repetitive basis
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and reach in various directions
• Great communication skills as well as hand dexterity, see clearly at close/far distances (corrective lenses), color recognition, depth perception, peripheral awareness
