Job Overview:

Location: Palmer, MA

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Molding Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating plastic molding machines, inspecting finished products, and ensuring production and quality standards are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic plastic molding machines.
  • Remove finished parts from molds and trim excess material, runners, and flash.
  • Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to identify defects.
  • Use gauges and measuring tools to verify product specifications.
  • Grind scrap material and rejected parts when required.
  • Package finished products into cartons and prepare them for shipment.
  • Weigh or count finished parts and accurately complete production paperwork.
  • Perform basic secondary operations as needed while operating machinery.
  • Communicate material needs and machine issues to supervisors or support staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform additional production duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred (3–6 months), but willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Ability to read simple work instructions and complete production documentation.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify visual defects in finished products.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for the entire 8-hour shift.
  • Frequently reach, bend, grasp, and lift finished products.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment safely.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor manufacturing facility.
  • Exposure to machine noise, dust, oil, and manufacturing fumes.
  • Requires adherence to all safety and quality procedures.
