Job Title: Mold Setter

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mold Setter to join our Operations team. In this role, you will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to ensure injection molding equipment is set up, maintained, and operated efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Mold Setup & Tear Down: Perform complete mold setup, removal, teardown, and assembly on production presses.

  • Work Area Preparation: Organize work areas around presses and maintain strict order of all tools, components, and equipment.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a tow motor (forklift) and handle materials across the production floor.

  • Production Floor Support: Clean components and assist with keeping the molding and production areas clean and compliant with shop standards.

  • Cross-Functional Operations: Flex into other production roles (such as injection molding machine operation, pad printing, and material handling) as needed.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce all local, state, and federal safety regulations (including OSHA guidelines) and plant management safety rules.

  • Communication: Drive group continuity through clear verbal and written communication regarding machine performance, setups, and handoffs.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience with mold setup and removal in an injection molding or contract manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with an understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and fluid power.

  • Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe working practices.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to cross-train in other production areas and work overtime when required.

Preferred:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Physical Mobility: Ability to walk, sit, bend, twist, stand, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs periodically.

  • Visual Acuity: Ability to distinguish color variations and detect visual product defects.

  • Work Environment: Ability to operate safely in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing setting.
