Job Description

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Injection & Compression Mold Designer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing molds and tooling for injection and compression molding applications, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities• Design and develop injection and compression molds based on customer specifications, product requirements, and engineering drawings.• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software.• Develop mold components, cores, cavities, slides, lifters, inserts, ejector systems, and other tooling features.• Review part designs and identify potential moldability, tooling, and manufacturing issues.• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, mold makers, and production personnel to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.

Qualifications• Previous professional experience designing injection and/or compression molds is required.• Strong understanding of mold design principles and plastic/rubber molding processes.• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and 2D engineering drawings.• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.• Knowledge of mold components, tooling materials, machining processes, and manufacturing methods.
