Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic (Field Service Technician)

Pay Range: $30 – $37 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will travel to customer job sites to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy construction and industrial equipment. This is a hands-on field position ideal for a motivated mechanic who enjoys working independently and delivering high-quality service directly at customer locations.

Schedule & Hours

• Monday – Friday, with occasional weekend call-outs for emergency service
• 40–50 hours per week on average

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment in the field
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Service and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and dispatch
• Ensure safe work practices and adhere to all site-specific safety requirements

Required Experience We are looking for candidates with strong experience as a mobile/field mechanic working on the following types of equipment:

• Wheel Loaders
• Telehandlers
• Skid Steers
• Boom Lifts
• Light Plants
• Generators

Preferred Brands/Experience: JCB, JLG, John Deere, Allmand, and similar manufacturers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of relevant diesel mechanic experience (heavy equipment preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently at customer sites
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (ability to drive a service truck)
• Own basic set of hand tools (specialty tools provided)
• Any manufacturer certifications (JCB, JLG, etc.) or ASE certifications are a big plus
