We are currently seeking motivated Millwrights to hire in the Queensbury, NY area. The ideal candidate will have prior mechanical maintenance experience and/or the willingness to learn. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing sawmill equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Tasks for Millwright:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment including front-end loaders, edgers, trim saws, planer mills, and dry kilns
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic hoses, pneumatic systems, minor electrical components, chains, and belts
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
Maintain accurate maintenance records and track parts usage
Collaborate with team members to resolve unexpected equipment failures
Ensure all maintenance activities follow safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications for Millwright:
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Experience repairing chains and belts preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Familiarity with sawmill or lumber mill operations is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
