Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve nonconformances, quality issues and prevent recurrence
Review, and approve process plans to ensure they meet quality standards
Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure they meet quality and regulatory requirements
Write receiving inspection plans for custom incoming inspection reviews
Use quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or root cause analysis, to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications You Must Have:
Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Ability to review and disseminate contractual quality requirements
Understanding of FAA requirements
Knowledge of design for excellence standards to include design for quality and design for inspection
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures
The ability to obtain & maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Improvement Associate or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and database experience
Statistical analysis
