Job Overview:

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement activities for materials, supplies, and services under favorable terms.

  • Qualify and evaluate suppliers and manage supplier relationships.

  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers.

  • Monitor and ensure supplier quality and on-time delivery.

  • Track and analyze procurement performance metrics.

  • Maintain and update supplier information databases.

  • Resolve supply chain issues and supplier disputes effectively.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and meet procurement needs.

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Currently serving as ACTIVE DUTY military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in a related role.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Proficiency in procurement processes and principles.

  • Supply chain or logistics experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management [e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)].

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of procurement software and tools.

  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.

  • Basic accounting skills.

  • Procurement experience.

  • Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.

  • Hand and finger dexterity for data entry and document review.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
