We are seeking an Experienced MIG/TIG Welder with Aerospace Experience to join our dynamic team in Lapeer, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds that meet stringent aerospace standards while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
## Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials, including aluminum and stainless steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate welds.
Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve welding issues.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and efficiency.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in welding technology.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding, preferably in the aerospace sector.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with welding safety standards and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus.
