MIG/Stick Welder

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MIG/Stick Welder to join our team. This position will primarily perform stick welding on iron rods and assist with MIG welding as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding background, be able to work safely and efficiently, and produce quality welds that meet company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform stick welding on iron rods and related materials.
• Complete MIG welding projects as required.
• Read and interpret basic welding instructions and specifications.
• Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and welding best practices.
• Assist with material handling and general shop duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous MIG and Stick welding experience is required.
• Ability to pass a weld test.
• Knowledge of welding tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be dependable and have a strong attention to detail.

Weld Test Requirements:

• Candidates must bring their own welding hood and gloves for the weld test.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

You should be proficient in:

• Tape Measure Reading
• Blueprint Reading
