As a Welder, you’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding. You’ll also tack-weld pieces together. TheFitter/Welderapplies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual welding equipment.
Schedule:
1st shift 6am – 3:30pm(9hour shift)
2nd shift 4pm – 1:30am(9 hour shift)
Compensation:$22.00/hour base pay (2nd shift gets an additional $1.50 for shift premium)
Job Duties:
Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product
Perform flat and horizontal groove welds
Accurately measure within specified tolerances
Read blueprints
Perform flat and horizontal fillet welds
Qualifications
Ability to pass weld and measurement test
Qualified to weld on aluminum or steel
Comprehensive knowledge of the use and operation of fillet and groove welding equipment
Ability to read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Capable of reading, understanding, and following weld procedure
Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently
Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment
Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment
Regular and predictable attendance
