Job Overview:

**Position Summary

**

The MIG & TIG Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components used in HVAC and air handling systems. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and experience working with sheet metal and structural materials in a manufacturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities

**

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld parts to specifications

  • Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy

  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, and fabrication tools

  • Measure and align materials using calipers, tape measures, and squares

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures

  • Assist with production deadlines and workflow priorities

  • Perform minor equipment maintenance as needed

**Qualifications

**

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Previous MIG and TIG welding experience required

  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

**Preferred Skills

**

  • Experience in HVAC or air handling manufacturing

  • Welding certifications are a plus

  • Knowledge of fabrication equipment and metal finishing

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices

**Work Environment

**

  • Industrial manufacturing facility

  • Exposure to welding fumes, heat, and machinery

  • PPE required including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots

You should be proficient in:

  • Troubleshooting Skills
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • Tape Measure Reading
  • Blueprint Reading
