Mig and Tig welders are responsible for joining and repairing metal components, stainless steel plate, and pipe.
Must be able to fabricate, cut, measure, tack and perform acceptable welds with plate, angle, or flat bar.
Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment, torches, and related tools.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces by removing rust, dirt, grease, and debris.
Check welds for quality, structural integrity and compliance specifications.
Follow all safety protocols and work in clean organized enviroment.
Experience:
Must have 5 years of TIG welding experience; MIG welding experience is also required.
Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques.
Experience with precision measuring instruments.
