We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Metal/Material Lab Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

Conduct tests on various metals and materials to determine their properties and performance.
Prepare samples for analysis, including cutting, polishing, and mounting.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Document test results and prepare reports for review by engineering and management teams.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot material-related issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in materials testing techniques.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field preferred.
Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly with metal and material testing.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and lab management software.
