We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Metal Yard Grader to join our team in Fairfield, CA. As a Metal Yard Grader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient organization and grading of metal materials within our facility. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for working with metal, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grade and organize metal materials in the yard to ensure optimal space utilization.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing metal products for quality and compliance.
• Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the metal yard.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.
• Assist with inventory management and tracking of metal materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in metalworking is a plus.
• Previous experience in a yard grading or metal handling role preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts and skid steers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a metal yard environment.
