POSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator- Bender will perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.  The Machine Operator- Bender will bend pipe and tubing material for use in pipe fabrication, coils, heat exchangers, railings, and other fabricated metal assemblies.   

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum Qualification H.S Diploma
  • Prior experience in a metal fabrication shop is preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Able to read and follow blueprints, manuals, work orders, directions, instructions and procedures
  • Able to operate fork truck and overhead cranes
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, or micrometers 
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, air and power tools
  • Able to follow directions, instructions and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Reasoning and problem solving skills
