ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Metal Plater / Line Operator, you will apply various plating processes to parts and components to improve durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance. This is a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to heat, humidity, dust, noise, etc. The role involves standing, walking, stairs, lifting, raising hand over your head, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform plating operations using various techniques in accordance with specifications and quality standards
  • Set up, monitor, and control plating lines and chemical baths
  • Process parts for the correct duration per shop paperwork
  • Inspect plated parts for defects, thickness, and quality compliance
  • Verify parts are correctly racked prior to plating
  • Operate and assist with maintenance of plating tanks and rinsing systems
  • Follow all safety protocols and properly use PPE
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and production records
  • Notify supervisors of process deviations or equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
  • 0-2 years of plating or manufacturing experience preferred (we will train candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic and reliability)
  • Ability to maintain regular, dependable attendance
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong basic math skills (measurements, time, calculations)
  • Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic understanding of chemical and equipment safety
  • Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
  • Interest in obtaining CEF/NASF certifications
  • Strong desire to meet production and performance expectations
