 We are searching for a  1st shift,  Metal Finisher to join our Vadnais Heights locations.

Responsibilities

• Grinds out burrs and sharp edges, using hand tools and portable grinders. 
• Finish part to specification critical surfaces with hand tools portable grinders, Timesaver, and Loewer. 
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading/ geometric tolerancing interpretation.
• Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the finish condition of work pieces, sequence of operations, and set up requirements. 
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance (Lubricate) functions on equipment. 
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunction such as worn or damaged finishing tools.
• Transact all appropriate labor and materials required for the job into M1.
• Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues. 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication experience preferred
• Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions. 
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Perform repetitive work for up to 10 hours per day
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
