Lyons Magnus looking for an experienced and innovative fabricator that can take charge of in-house fabricator projects and improvements. The position requires a proactive and autonomous fabrication that can work on projects start to finish. 

This position is located at our Walton, Kentucky facility.  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sanitary Stainless Welder/Fitter  
• Proficient in TIG and MIG welding  
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and safety procedures related to welding  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings  
• Familiarity with machining tools and equipment  
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in work  
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate a forklifts safely  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team 

Responsibilities

• Lead smaller fabrication improvement projects from start to finish. Including developing design, creating drawings, material list, fabrication, and installation
• Support production and maintenance by repairing and improving metal structures and equipment.
• Perform sanitary stainless welding, fitting, and grinding/polishing tasks according to project specifications
• Set up metalwork machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes and shears
• Fabricate and construct metal components: Pipe Hangers, Supports, Frames
• Operate tools and cutting equipment to cut and shape metal components
• Fabricate and weld sanitary piping 
• Use mechanical knowledge to ensure proper alignment and fit of components
• Adhere to welding codes, standards, and safety protocols
• Build, weld, fabricate and rig materials as required
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time

Work Schedule and Setting

• Minimal Traveling
• 85% indoors
• 10 hour shift, 40 hours per week 
• Some weekend work and over time may be required. 

Experience

• Sanitary TIG and MIG Welding, full penetration: 4 -10 years 
• Experience in purge welding required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A two-year associate degree in metal fabrication or sanitary welding (preferred)
• Industrial Maintenance Experience (preferred)
• Machinist Experience (preferred)
• Forklift Driving 
• Rigging Experience
• Computer experience (preferred)
