Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Metal Fabricator to join an established manufacturing operation in Arnold, MO. This position is responsible for fabricating, forming, measuring, and preparing metal components according to production specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.

The ideal candidate has previous experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, machine operation, press operation, or a related manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and prepare metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, form, and prepare metal materials for production and assembly.
• Operate fabrication and production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up materials and make basic equipment adjustments as required.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
• Inspect completed parts for dimensions, defects, workmanship, and overall quality.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and identify equipment or quality issues.
• Use hand and power tools to complete fabrication and production tasks.
• Handle sheet metal and other raw materials throughout the fabrication process.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Meet established production and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Assist with material handling, assembly, and other production duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, machine operation, metal stamping, press operation, or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience operating fabrication, forming, mechanical, hydraulic, or production equipment is a plus.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with calipers and micrometers is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Required Pre-Employment Screening

Candidates must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screening requirements.

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Successful completion of both the background check and drug screen is required to move forward with employment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull manufacturing materials.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.
• Comfortable working around machinery, fabrication equipment, noise, and metal materials.
• Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment.
