Position Summary:
The Metal Fabricator is responsible for all dimensions they create on any product. Fabricators verify that the dimensions created meet the print/cut list requirements before product moves to the next area.
Qualifications:
Experience with use of saws, grinders, metal shears, lathes, and mills
Demonstrated ability to read drawings and specifications, and use inspection tools
Responsibilities include:
The use of cold saws and band saws
The use of metal cutting shears and rolls
The use of manual lathes and mills
The use of inspection tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
The use of sand blasters, tubing benders, pipe and flex cutters, various other cutting tools, air grinders, etc.
Cleaning of stainless steel and aluminum products
Buffing, polishing, scotch brite, of finished products and details
Deburring
Spinning
Operation of punch presses
Following proper safety procedures
Following manufacturing procedures
Performing all other duties as assigned by supervisor
*This is a 3rd shift position. Hours are Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6M.
