FULL SERVICE MERCHANDISER
Territory for this position is: Jennings County and surrounding counties in southeastern Indiana, based in Seymour, Indiana

The Full-Service Merchandiser shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Rotating, filling, restocking of dairy products in store, ordering milk for stores next delivery, communicate with management on a regular basis.
1. Introducing new items: You are to present new items to account and assist dairy or store manager with placing new items on the shelf, tagging the item, and getting the UPC and cost information into the scanning system, if necessary, or whatever else needs to be done to obtain shelf space.
2. Surveying retail prices: Periodically run price survey of sales area and present to our customers in the area you are surveying.
3. Inspecting dairy and ice cream cases: Regular inspections of cases are a must. Fill out forms for company records. You will check for codes and temperature. Also, inspect walk-in coolers.
4. Assisting with case resets: Assist store personnel with milk and ice cream rests.
5. Sales Promotions: Set up weekly promotions. Coordinate in-store demonstrations. Provide ad slicks for store ads.
6. Communicate with order clerk: The order clerk needs to know about any changing factors that would affect sales volume to customer. This would include regular promotions, in-store promotions, special promotions, etc.
7. Resolving problems: you are responsible for any problems that may arise with your accounts concerning product, delivery, billing, production, and/or consumer complaints.
8. Automobile cleanliness: Auto must be kept clean inside and out as often as weather permits. Weather should ALWAYS permit.
9. Personal appearance: Maintain a clean professional appearance
10. Check empty milk cases to see if they are being returned to plant.
11. Attend sales meetings when called by sales manager.
12. Keep accurate records of expenses. Also, balance monthly.
13. Maintain customer relationships by visiting store managers, department managers, and employees; answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features.
14. Maintain store shelves by observing displays of company products, removing damaged or freshness-dated products; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products.
15. Maintain inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting stores management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
16. Help field sales representatives with special promotions by setting up displays at aisle ends; checking daily on special promotions; observing customer reaction to special promotions; forwarding observations to management; removing promotions at end of special promotion period.
Required Technical Skills:

Educations, Certifications and Experience:
• Must have a valid operators license with a good driving record.
• Must be able to have reliable transportation to, from, and between work locations.
• Previous merchandising experience
Physical Requirements:
S(he) will be required to climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position when placing stock on shelves or racks, setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays, issuing sales promotion materials to customers, and collecting or picking up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. The Full-Service Merchandiser will have to stack and unstack items weighing 35 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift. He or she will be required to work in very hot (100+ degree) and very cool (less than 32 degree) environments throughout the year. He or she will also be required to work outside, in whatever the conditions are, most of the time.
Other:
The Merchandiser is an hourly position and reports to the Branch Manager.
Working overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
