Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking an Aggregate Plant Manager to work at our Menzer location in Colorado Springs, CO. The Aggregate Foreman will be responsible for daily quarry mining operations, which includes plant production, plant maintenance, recording data, scheduling and problem solving.
Salary: $90-110k

Responsibilities
The Supervisor will:
- Communicates mining activities to Aggregate Manager daily
- Manages equipment and plant maintenance procedures and costs
- Plant Production: keeping inventory on the ground and in spec
- Maintaining the production plant so it operates to its max and in safe condition
- Task training for all employees for all tasks
- Recording Production and downtime
- Scheduling: Production, Maintenance, Stripping and Blasting
- Safety & Safety Policies for employees
- Purchasing parts and supplies needed
- Maintains and measures quality products and processes
- Monitors standards of the product specifications for commercial and State applications
Qualifications(Skills, knowledge, experience):
- Experience in mining, an industrial or construction setting
- Excellent people skills to successfully work with aggregate mining management, external customers, and operational personnel
- Ability to train, support, and coordinate personnel in a multi-function operation
- Knowledge of applicable MSHA safety and environmental regulations and ability to implement the appropriate related programs and controls
- Mechanical aptitude and a basic knowledge of quality control procedure
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial or construction environment with supervisory experience
- Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to understand financial data
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
