Job Overview:

Medical Device Test & Repair Technician

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Test & Repair Technician to test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic medical devices. This is a highly technical, hands-on position requiring strong electronics knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Location: Olathe, KS

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Conditions: Medical Device / Electronics Manufacturing

Pay:$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM

  • Friday, 6:00 AM–10:00 AM

Position Summary

The Medical Device Test & Repair Technician will test electronic assemblies and finished medical devices, troubleshoot failures, perform repairs, and verify that products meet required quality and performance standards.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and functional testing on medical devices

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic failures

  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other test equipment

  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical procedures

  • Perform board-level soldering, component replacement, and electronic repairs

  • Load firmware and configure devices when required

  • Document testing, failures, and completed repairs

  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product issues

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, or manufacturing support experience

  • Experience using electronic diagnostic/test equipment

  • Experience troubleshooting electronic components and circuits

  • Ability to read schematics and technical documentation

  • Soldering and electronic repair experience

Key Skills Required

  • Electronics troubleshooting and diagnostics

  • Oscilloscope and multimeter experience

  • Reading electrical schematics

  • Soldering and component-level repair

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

Education

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field preferred

  • Equivalent technical training and hands-on experience considered

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Fine motor skills for soldering and detailed electronic repairs

  • Ability to visually inspect small electronic components

  • Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
