Medical Device Assembly Technician

We are seeking skilled, detail-oriented Medical Device Assembly Technicians to build precision medical devices and components. This is a technical, hands-on assembly position requiring strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow specific manufacturing and quality procedures.

Location: Olathe, KS

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Conditions: Medical Device / Technical Manufacturing

Pay:$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM

  • Friday, 6:00 AM–10:00 AM

Position Summary

The Medical Device Assembly Technician will perform detailed assembly of medical device components, subassemblies, and finished products. Associates will use precision hand tools, perform soldering, inspect their work, and follow documented procedures to ensure products meet strict quality and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical device components and finished products

  • Use torque drivers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and other hand tools

  • Perform detailed assembly and soldering

  • Follow technical work instructions and manufacturing procedures

  • Inspect completed work and identify quality issues

  • Complete production documentation and ERP transactions

  • Pack and label finished medical devices

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and quality-focused workstation

Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous technical assembly, manufacturing, soldering, or inspection experience preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions

  • Dependable and comfortable working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience

  • Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience

  • Soldering experience

  • IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 knowledge

  • ERP/manufacturing documentation experience

  • Lean Manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods

  • Strong hand dexterity and fine motor skills

  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspections

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
