About the Opportunity

Compunnel is hiring a **Manufacturing Technician **for a contract opportunity supporting a global medical technology company specializing in blood diagnostics and acute care testing.

In this role, you will work as part of the client's manufacturing team to help meet daily customer demand and production schedules while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The Manufacturing Technician I will assemble, process, and test medical devices using specialized equipment, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment. This is a hands-on production role in a structured, quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, process, and test medical devices according to documented work instructions and procedures.

  • Use specialized equipment, fixtures, and test equipment to perform a series of manufacturing operations.

  • Work with Manufacturing Leads and/or Specialists to meet customer demand and production schedules.

  • Follow established standard work, safety requirements, and quality procedures.

  • Participate in basic problem-solving activities to support stable operation of the work cell.

  • Report concerns related to quality, processes, equipment, materials, or labor to the Manufacturing Lead or Production Supervisor.

  • Maintain, coordinate, and complete standard work activities.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and DBS activities within the assigned work area.

  • Maintain 5S standards by keeping the work area clean, organized, and suitable for manufacturing operations.

  • Work collaboratively as an active member of the production team and assist with product processing.

  • Follow documented policies and procedures established by the company's Quality System.

  • Complete required documentation related to manufacturing and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or relevant work experience.

  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating procedures, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GMP principles.

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing.

  • Experience using a microscope for inspection or manufacturing activities.

  • Basic problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or production experience.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in areas that may contain adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes.

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arm's length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and twist.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 lbs.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to observe and inspect small parts over extended periods.

  • Requires close vision and color vision.

  • Must be willing and able to comply with controlled-environment requirements, including applicable apparel and personal hygiene standards.
