Job Title: Assembler

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months contract (possible extension)

Pay Rate: $22/hr on W2

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Summary

The Assembler performs manufacturing and assembly of medical devices. This role involves working on assembly lines, using hand and small power tools, performing inspections and testing, and supporting equipment maintenance and manufacturing engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble medical device products using hand tools and small power tools.
• Work on assembly lines including cartridge filling, applicator assembly, and packaging.
• Follow GMPs, manufacturing procedures, safety policies, and production schedules.
• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Perform inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support R&D builds and special manufacturing projects.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Perform cleaning activities in cleanroom and packaging areas according to established procedures.
• Follow requirements related to FDA, ISO, and CMDR compliance.
• Rotate between different production tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months–3 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and understand specifications and manufacturing procedures in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use basic measurement tools, including microscopes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended hours when required.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Willingness to perform different tasks within the production environment.

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• May occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Work may involve cleanroom and packaging environments.
• Requires moderate to high concentration due to production volume, complexity, and deadlines.
• No travel is expected.
