This position requires strong familiarity with the outdoor industry, particularly waterfowl hunting, conservation, and the culture surrounding them. The Media Operations Manager serves as a key liaison between internal production teams and external outdoor partners, helping plan, coordinate, and execute content in the field and in post-production.

  • Ensure projects move efficiently from concept through final delivery
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and production risks early

Quality Control and Standards

  • Serve as a quality control checkpoint for video, audio, and deliverables
  • Ensure content meets established technical, editorial, and brand standards
  • Flag issues related to accuracy, tone, or representation within the outdoor and conservation space

Partner and Industry Coordination

  • Act as a liaison with outdoor partners, conservation groups, talent, and contributors
  • Coordinate schedules, expectations, and deliverables with external partners
  • Support planning and execution of field productions involving partners and stakeholders

Deliverables and Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate asset handoffs to Social Media, Marketing, Development, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain clear documentation and visibility around project status

Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain operational workflows and documentation
  • Improve efficiency, consistency, and accountability across productions
  • Help reduce reliance on emergency or freelance support through better planning

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in media operations, production coordination, or project management
  • Expertise or strong familiarity with project management software, such as ClickUp
  • Strong familiarity with the outdoor industry, especially waterfowling and conservation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with creative teams without owning creative direction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with outdoor brands, nonprofits, or media organizations
  • Understanding of sponsorship-driven or partner-driven content
  • Familiarity with video, podcast, and digital media production workflows

Success Metrics

  • Consistent on-time delivery of media projects
  • Reduction in rushed or last-minute deliverables
  • Improved partner coordination and satisfaction
