We are the service Company on the North America market for a major Group, providing machines and plants for manufacturing wood-based products.
We are seeking an electric – electronic – software (mecatronic) service technician to add to our team.
Responsibilities and Duties of the qualified candidate are:
This position requires approximately 75% travel across the US and Canada. You can be based anywhere in the US as you will not be required to come into an office.
Be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, calibration, and setup of the equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory safety standards.
Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections. Prepare inspection reports, test logs and acceptance protocols.
Perform specialized repairs, maintenance and upgrades of machines on electronic cards, electronic systems, control computers, PLC and communication network.
Supervise customer personnel / Perform installation of new equipment including assembly, commissioning and start-up.
Assist and train customer operators and maintenance personnel on how to operate our equipment and perform maintenance tasks.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree (electric, electronic or computer engineering) or equivalent experience developed on field.
PLC knowledge is a plus.
Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience.
Ability to maintain open and professional line of communications with customers. Being always compliant with safety standards and regulations of the Group and of the Customers
Be on call and capable of providing after-hours emergency services when needed.
