Job Overview:

We are the service Company on the North America market for a major Group, providing machines and plants for manufacturing wood-based products.

We are seeking an electric – electronic – software (mecatronic) service technician to add to our team.

Responsibilities and Duties of the qualified candidate are:

  • Travel within the US, mostly in southeastern region, and Canada.

This position requires approximately 75% travel across the US and Canada. You can be based anywhere in the US as you will not be required to come into an office.

  • Be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, calibration, and setup of the equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory safety standards.

  • Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections. Prepare inspection reports, test logs and acceptance protocols.

  • Perform specialized repairs, maintenance and upgrades of machines on electronic cards, electronic systems, control computers, PLC and communication network.

  • Supervise customer personnel / Perform installation of new equipment including assembly, commissioning and start-up.

  • Assist and train customer operators and maintenance personnel on how to operate our equipment and perform maintenance tasks.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (electric, electronic or computer engineering) or equivalent experience developed on field.

  • PLC knowledge is a plus.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience.

  • Ability to maintain open and professional line of communications with customers. Being always compliant with safety standards and regulations of the Group and of the Customers

  • Be on call and capable of providing after-hours emergency services when needed.
