Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician 3 to join our dynamic team in Redondo Beach, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and enhancing our mechanical systems, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical technology preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic electrical skills (DC/resistance measurements for instrumentation and troubleshooting)
- Ability to work off hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work in high bays, test labs, and cleanroom environments as required
- Experience with one or more of the following: Blueprints, Technical Drawings, Diagrams, Instructions, or Schematics
- Experience with hydraulic systems and/or structural/mechanical testing of flight or development hardware
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
