Build Cutting-Edge Automation Equipment
We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder / Automation Assembly Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and commissioning custom automation equipment used in cleaning, testing, and assembly applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working with advanced robotics and automated manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and machine systems according to engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
- Install and wire electrical components, control panels, sensors, motors, and other machine systems.
- Set up, operate, and assist with integration of industrial robots, including ABB, Fanuc, and KUKA systems.
- Support machine commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
- Modify, upgrade, and service existing automated equipment.
- Participate in machine acceptance testing and production run support.
- Travel to customer locations for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service support as needed.
- Work closely with engineering, controls, and project teams to ensure successful machine builds and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and high-quality work environment.
Qualifications
- Technical training, apprenticeship, or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Machine Building, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience assembling and troubleshooting industrial machinery, automation equipment, or special-purpose machines preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical wiring, pneumatic systems, and machine components.
- Experience working with robotic systems is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Customer-focused mindset and professional communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Strong English communication skills required; German language skills are a plus.
- Forklift and crane certifications are preferred but not required.
