Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Know, understand, and follow all Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, and other plant assets.
- Use precision measurement tools and diagnostic equipment to identify equipment deficiencies and determine corrective actions.
- Conduct equipment inspections and condition assessments to identify potential failures and reliability concerns.
- Perform equipment alignments, belt and chain adjustments, bearing replacements, and mechanical rebuilds.
- Execute work orders and documents maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Support root cause analysis investigations and implements corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Assist in developing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to employees on mechanical maintenance best practices and equipment care.
- Support turnaround, outage, and shutdown activities, including planning, execution, and equipment restoration.
- Operate mobile equipment as required and maintains applicable certifications.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations personnel to safely troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize production interruptions.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, maintainability, and cost reduction.
- Report incidents and participates in investigations as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within maintenance work areas.
- Perform all work in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and company standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes.
- Good knowledge of local codes and standards.
- Motors, PLC, Drives Experience.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance knowledge.
- Experience in reading construction drawings.
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), lift 50 Lbs. and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. Pre-employment physical is required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
