Job Overview:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Know, understand, and follow all Safety, Environmental, and Maintenance policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, and other plant assets.
  • Use precision measurement tools and diagnostic equipment to identify equipment deficiencies and determine corrective actions.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and condition assessments to identify potential failures and reliability concerns.
  • Perform equipment alignments, belt and chain adjustments, bearing replacements, and mechanical rebuilds.
  • Execute work orders and documents maintenance activities within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Support root cause analysis investigations and implements corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
  • Assist in developing and improving preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to employees on mechanical maintenance best practices and equipment care.
  • Support turnaround, outage, and shutdown activities, including planning, execution, and equipment restoration.
  • Operate mobile equipment as required and maintains applicable certifications.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Operations personnel to safely troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize production interruptions.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, maintainability, and cost reduction.
  • Report incidents and participates in investigations as required.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within maintenance work areas.
  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes.
  • Good knowledge of local codes and standards.
  • Motors, PLC, Drives Experience.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience in reading construction drawings. 
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Must be able to walk long distances and stand and work for more than 2 hours in tough environmental conditions (high temperature, high humidity, noise, & dust), lift 50 Lbs. and withstand heights of up to 500 feet. Pre-employment physical is required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC-card.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
